Manama, Bahrain – 25 September 2025: Gulf Hotels Group, a leading company in the hospitality sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, celebrated the conclusion of the second edition of its 2025 summer training program. The initiative comes as part of its ongoing efforts to support Bahraini youth and empower them to gain practical experience that paves the way for a promising professional future in the hospitality sector.
The program aims to enhance the readiness of Bahraini students for the labor market by providing them with the opportunity to gain hands-on practical experience in a professional work environment, and to participate in training across various hotels within the group. Participants were distributed across multiple departments such as Front Office, Food and Beverage, Kitchen, Marketing and Sales, Events Management, Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance and Accounting, Procurement, Maintenance, and Housekeeping. The training ran from July 1 for eight weeks, allowing participants to become familiar with different aspects of hotel operations and develop the essential required skills.
The program was designed to align with the academic specializations of Bahraini university students as well as recent graduates. Participants received professional supervision and guidance from specialized staff throughout the training period. Upon completion, they received participation certificates, with high-performing trainees given the opportunity to be nominated for future job opportunities or training programs within the group. This reflects Gulf Hotels Group’s commitment to nurturing national talent and strengthening its presence in the hospitality sector.

This year saw the participation of 42 trainees from universities and schools, reflecting our ongoing commitment to supporting and developing Bahraini talent. We are proud that the Bahrainization rate in the group has exceeded 22%, including 40% in senior management across all our hotels, which confirms the growing presence of Bahraini professionals. The program offers young Bahrainis the opportunity to study hotel management at prestigious international educational institutions, along with structured practical training across various operational departments. It also provides financial support, including a monthly stipend during the study period, and guarantees participants leadership positions within the group after graduation, reflecting the group’s commitment to strengthening Bahrainization and developing national competencies in the hospitality sector.
