Gulf Hotels Group Promotes Charbel Hanna to Area General Manager, Bahrain Hotels
Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain – 18 June 2026: Gulf Hotels Group (GHG), Bahrain’s leading hospitality company, has announced the promotion of Charbel Hanna to the position of Area General Manager, Bahrain Hotels, reflecting the Group’s commitment to developing talent from within its organisation and recognising outstanding performance and long-term contribution.
With more than 24 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Hanna has built a distinguished career within Gulf Hotels Group, where he has progressed through a range of operational and managerial roles. Beginning his journey in food and beverage management at Gulf Hotel Bahrain, he advanced through successive management positions before assuming the role of General Manager of Crowne Plaza Bahrain, establishing a strong track record of operational excellence and business performance.
Throughout his career, Hanna has gained extensive experience across all facets of hotel operations, combining commercial acumen, operational expertise, and a deep understanding of guest experience management.
As General Manager of Crowne Plaza Bahrain, he successfully led the hotel and convention centre operations, driving sustained improvements in operational performance, profitability, and guest satisfaction while strengthening the property’s competitive position in the market.

Hanna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Hospitality Management and has completed the General Manager Programme at Cornell University in the United States. He is fluent in Arabic, English, and French, reflecting his extensive experience in international hospitality environments.
